Donald and Arista were moving in on a year together and frankly he was ready to wife her. A few months earlier, when they were in Jamaica visiting her father, she asked for a couple of months. They had doubled that time but she was real evasive about setting a date, though she was wearing his ring. It was time to make some decisions. Arista never loved a man the way she loved Donald and he was her heart and soul. The most important this was that he held her accountable. The thing was, she was older than he and during her last marriage she ended up caring for her considerably older spouse for five years before he died a relatively early death. She was the picture of health, at almost fifty-three, but did she want to suddenly be cared for by her much younger husband? She was good with being with him, loving him as they were. But she knew Donald wanted to be MARRIED…

There's an ongoing discussion about novellas these days. Here's the thing, Ms Angelia's novellas don't feel like novellas. I never feel like some information was missing, or that I was short changed. And, you get lots of wisdom in every book.I love Donald and Arista. In Part II of Widowed, Donald is ready for marriage. Arista? Not so much. She's needs to work through some things. Will he be patient? What could go wrong? Or, could it all go right? Check it out! You will love it!
Everytime I read a book written by Ms Angelia, I think 'she can't possibly top the last one,' and then she does.
Cheers to you Ms Angelia, the writing Queen! #fictonalizedtruths

Married? Widowed II Volume 2 Angelia Vernon Menchan Maurice Kenneth Menchan Sr Books Reviews
Arista finds out that Isaac has prostrate cancer and brings him to the states for treatment. Donald gets a surprise that will change his life-a 15 year old son. Arista welcomes him and so does the family. Donald and Arista finally tie the knot.
This book was so full of surprises. I absolutely loved it. The author presents realistic situations that I had truly enjoyed reading about. I think I'll read the next book.
Kudos to Angelia Vernon Menchan!
Arista and Donald's relationship has grown and they spend most of their free time together. He's proposed but she's hesitant to answer 'yes', which makes Donald confused and a lot disappointed. When she has to move Isaac, her father, to Jacksonville with her due to him being ill, Arista is so appreciative of Donald and Isaac's closeness. Will the support and security she feels in being Donald's 'woman' win her over into saying 'I do'?
Donald gets a surprise visit which brings up a past dysfunctional relationship he was engaged in, and the world as he knows it is turned upside down. He wonders if Arista can or will still want him given the outcome of baggage from his past--that even he was unaware of. He decides to step up and take care of his responsibility. Will this bring further hesitation on Arista's part or draw them closer together?
Widowed 2 also gives readers a more in depth peek into the past lives of supporting characters. Menchan is excellent at telling a well developed story within a novella page count. Good weekend read for me. I'm now moving on to Part 3.
Book 1 and 2 were great stories...enjoyed them both
I truly enjoyed the update on Donald and Arista! What a nice addition to the family, Juan! I am happy for George and his new leash on life! I'm supper happy for Issak finding the love of his life in Jonny! Well ✅ done!
I really enjoyed this follow up novel. It was good to reconnect with Arista, Donald and the family. 1-click and find out if marriage is in the cards for this couple? Will a surprise addition cause trouble in paradise? Read and find out...
Part two of widowed brought a little more drama and some conclusions to a few storylines. The second part was a good read and the chemistry was better this time between Donald and Arista. A fifty plus woman finding love with a slightly younger man was nicely told. The stepson, and both their parents situation added to the uniqueness in this story.
I was waiting for this book because it only takes one introduction to a new character, by this author...for this reader to be fully invested!
Arista is my new BFF.
This series is going to be so awesome.
I am ready for book three, Ms. Angelia.
Thank you for another winner!
